Laura

I Never Thought I Could Run A Marathon!”

Hello! My name is Laura, and I first came to the clinic for neck pain.  I was surprised when he told me he could not see me until I went to my family physician first. Concerned about other possible medical issues, he sent me out the door without getting an adjustment. Sure enough, I had mono and was very thankful the doctor pointed me in the right direction.

After I was treated for the mono, I kept having neck pain so I decided to try Sea Chiropractic again.  I knew if it wasn’t something they couldn’t help me with, they would let me know and not waste my time or money.  In regard to the neck pain, the doctors thought I would be a great candidate for chiropractic care and I started to get the treatment I needed.  Honestly, it took a while for me to really start to notice an improvement, but I had faith. I believed in Dr. Gusso and trusted their judgment. I had lived with the pain for so long, and I knew my neck had gotten used to being out of place. laura_raeder.JPG

Since my first adjustment, Sea Chiropractic has helped take me places I’ve never thought possible: one of which was into a 26.2 mile race.  Not battling my neck and back pain, I was able to heal and became stronger without the set backs.

Two years ago I ran a 5K (3.1 miles) and had to walk three times, far from where I am now.  The mere idea of running a marathon wasn’t something I ever really thought I could do.  Boy was I wrong!  Since my first 5K, I have gone onto run the Fargo, Chicago, and Boston marathons with hopes of running the New York Marathon in a few months.  Running at least fifty miles a week there is no way I could do it without support; I found the perfect balance with living my life and staying healthy.  Dr. Gusso truly keep me running.
